Kishore Pinpati was born in 1972 in Bangalore, India, which at the time was a small, quiet, and green city with a focus on education, and specializing in research and development related to both aerospace and the military.
Kishore has been involved in the IT industry since 1986 when his family founded one of the first Software companies in Bangalore, India. After attending a leading private school in Bangalore, he graduated with a Degree in Computer Engineering and Sciences from the prestigious RV College of Engineering (RVCE - Bangalore University) prior to leaving for Heidelberg, Germany in 1994 to pursue his MBA with a concentration in International Business. Kishore also studied German Law and graduated with a Master’s degree in American Studies from the University of Heidelberg (HCA), with a focus on US Congress Legislation (Immigration and Nationality Act) that had a significant impact to the American IT industry.
Kishore has been an entrepreneur for more than 19 years, and is founder of the Pinpoint Group that is active in the IT and Renewable Energy industry. He was a pioneer in introducing the concept of “Offshore Software Development” to German mortgage banks (Bausparkassen), insurance companies, utilties (Stadtwerken), and airports during the mid-1990s. He was also a pioneer in introducing the German “Baukastensystem” for website development to small and medium sized German companies (KMU). He was one of the first foreign-origin IT-Start-Up investors in Germany, having acquired companies and executed projects in several European countries, the Middle-East, and India, dating back to the 1990s. Kishore’s biography has been featured in various leading media publications, including Bloomberg, Financial Times Germany, SAT1 TV, Star News (India) and several German regional newspapers. The Indian media has also designated him a “Brand Ambassador of India in Germany”.
Kishore is the founder of INDO-GERMAN ECONOMIC FORUM and believes that the success of an economy depends on the availability of affordable energy. He is driving his vision toward reality, with the goal of setting up 500MW of solar projects over the next four to six years in India and other developing countries. He is a member of the Renewable Energies Group of the Indo-German Energy Forum, which is an initiative co-founded by German Chancellor Angela Merkel and the Indian Prime Minister. Kishore advises the German Federal (Union) Ministers, as well as leading politicians in Berlin on matters related to economic relations between India and Germany.
Throughout the duration of his career, Kishore has served on the Board of Directors of several companies, worldwide.
